Presidents Day Weekend Box Office: The LEGO Movie Stays at No.1, About Last Night Debuts at No.2

Action-animated flick made $63.5 million

The LEGO Movie continued to build an impressive and large crowd during Presidents Day weekend.

The animated family-friendly flick was the No.1 movie, for the second weekend in a row, and made an impressive $63.5 million during the four-day stretch.

Moviegoers were also in the mood for some lighthearted romance, following Valentine's Day. About Last Night, starring Kevin Hart, Regina Hall and Michael Ealy, nabbed the No.2 spot its opening weekend and earned $28.5 million.

Sci-fi thriller Robocop, featuring Joel Kinnaman and Gary Oldman, debuted at No.3 and took home $25.6 million.

The No.2 movie last weekend, George Clooney's WW II biography-drama The Monuments Men, earned $18 million and landed at No.4.

The romantic-drama Endless Love rounded out the top 5 and earned $15 million its opening weekend.

Winter's Tale, the fourth film to open this holiday weekend, came in at No.7 and made $8.1 million.
