The golden ticket on day four of London Fashion Week was Burberry. On the catwalk there was live music from Paloma Faith, and Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse and Jourdan Dunn modeling a romantic collection of dresses, dreamy painterly florals in muted then earthy shades, shearling and personalized monogrammed blanket shawls for the finale.
Then there was the front that dreams are made of. Bond girl Naomie Harris, Brit rapper Tinie Tempah, One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles and original rock chick Alison Mosshart were on one side, faced-off by a giggling Anna Wintour (yes, really) and a loved-up Bradley Cooper (whose face lit up in the most adorable way every time his girlfriend Suki Waterhouse sashayed past). In short, it was immense!
The other big celeb draw of the day was American designer Tom Ford. Anna Wintour, Bradley Cooper, Suki Waterhouse and actor James Corden all graced the front row. Not to mention Georgia May Jagger, Karen Elson and Liberty Ross on the catwalk. The collection was, of course, sleek and sexy. What else would you expect from the king of style himself?
Another fashion highlight was the Erdem show. The brand, which used to be a byword for ladylike lace and pretty florals, continued its transition into stronger, sexier territory. Yes, there were still some florals—in embroidered form—but there was also patent snakeskin, glitzy pointed heels, laser cut velvet, heavy embellishments and metallic brocades. A tantalizingly opulent collection.
In the afternoon there was much excitement as Kendall Jenner made her LFW catwalk debut at the Giles show. Cara Delevingne also set tongues wagging by snapping selfies as she walked down the catwalk. A LFW week first.
The day ended with some serious fashion fun at Ashish. Flashing Buffalo platform trainers, Barbie pink prom dresses, and of course lashings of sequins. We heart.
