Everyone knows the best last minute present is a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers and celebrity florist Eric Buterbaugh shared his tips and tricks on how to woo your Valentine with the best flower arrangement. His famous floral creations are a must have of celebrity stylists and stars, among his famous friends are Rachel Zoe and Demi Moore.
Eric is even behind some of the most gorgeous flower arrangements for major fashion names like Chanel, Valentino and Tory Burch. So what is the most popular bloom of them all? The red rose, of course. Eric says the red rose is always the most popular flower ordered on Valentine's Day.
Eric shows E! News correspondent Melanie Bromley around his studio at the Four Seasons in Los Angeles, and dished on his proudest celebrity moment yet. "I think the favorite, definitely the top ten was doing Salma Hayek's wedding in Venice. It was beautiful and beyond the setting and the flowers, it's just so romantic there. I think I'm most proud of that, also I'm friendly so when you put your heart into something for someone you care about that's the kind of event you like to do."
He even revealed a sneak peek of his beautiful lucite flower vases, designed by Alexandra Von Furstenberg. When asked if he's sold any to celebs Eric says, "I have a strange feeling that Valentine's morning Nicole Richie might have a few."
He says it's the busiest week he has during the year for flowers and that he'll get calls all the way till 5pm on Valentine's Day. Eric thinks that flowers are very similar to the fashion industry, "One season clothes are complicated and crazy and then the next season everything is about being very sleek and simple. Flowers are a big deal right now in the fashion world. You look at what Dior is doing, on every show it's about flowers, flowers, flowers, it's been amazing for us."
The man behind all the celebrity flower obsessors says the flower that is in high demand right now is the anemones, "it's a very chic flower and a fashion favorite."
