Sean Lowe is the most successful Bachelor in the history of the reality show, in that he is the first in 17 seasons to actually marry the woman he proposed to on TV, but he still finds himself feeling a certain way about the route he took to get to the altar.

The rose-doling hunk, who wed his "best friend" Catherine Giudici last month, admitted during a video for Christian nonprofit I Am Second  that the experience on the series "felt wrong."

"Never in a million years did I think I would do a cheesy reality TV show about love," Lowe said, reminding folks that it was his sister who originally signed him up for The Bachelorette. Yet somehow, the Texan ended up competing for Emily Maynard's heart, only to be let down a week before the finale.

However, he was given another chance at finding love when the show's producers reached out and asked if he'd be willing to be The Bachelor. Lowe was hesitant, especially since he valued his religious ideals and didn't want to succumb to his "sinful nature," but after his family gave him a nudge he decided to do it.

Still, the process wasn't easy for Lowe, who would later be dubbed as the "virgin bachelor."

"It's unnatural to date 25 women at one time, and it felt wrong. A lot of the time, it felt wrong," he confessed. "I wrestled with it quite a bit, thinking, 'I'm pretty sure God opened this door, but what if he didn't? What if it's just an opportunity that came about, and what if I'm actually harming my testimony by going on a show and dating multiple people at one time, and kissing multiple people?"

Regardless, Sean can be happy about at least one thing—the show led him to his wife.

The two lovebirds got married on Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Four Seasons Resort—The Biltmore Santa Barbara, and the entire ceremony aired live on ABC.

Numerous Bachelor and Bachelorette alums attended the ceremony and witnessed the blushing bride, wearing a Monique Lhuillier gown, marry her soulmate. Daniella McBride, Trista and Ryan Sutter, Jef Holm, Ali Fedotowsky, JP Rosenbaum and Ashley Herbert were among the guests, including Lisa Vanderpump and her dog Giggy.

Lowe's father Jay officiated the ceremony and called their romance "an epic fairy-tale on display for the whole world to see."
