50 Cent Can't Be Jacked

Whether it's J.Lo or J.Jo, 50 Cent refuses to relinquish his chokehold on the album chart.

Having staved off Jennifer Lopez's Rebirth last week, 50 Cent's The Massacre kept surf-happy singer Jack Johnson at bay on the latest Billboard 200. According to Nielsen SoundScan numbers released Wednesday, The Massacre sold 771,000 copies for the week ended Sunday.

That brings the rapper's tally to nearly two million copies in only 11 days. Meanwhile, with Fiddy publicly burying the hatchet with protégé the Game, the latter saw his debut disc, The Documentary, jump up two spots to number three, moving another 87,000.

Though not offering Fiddy much in the way of competition, Jack Johnson did climb a spot in his second week to put In Between Dreams at number two, selling 117,000. J.Lo's Rebirth, however, fell two to four with only 86,000 in second-week sales.

Aside from Fiddy's dominance, the biggest chart story belonged to British buzz-band the Killers. Their Grammy-nominated Hot Fuss snuck into the Top 10 for the first time in its 39-week chart run. The disc, featuring the hit "Mr. Brightside," sold 54,000 copies to leap six spots to number eight.

Filling out the Top 10 were the usual suspects: Green Day's American Idiot at five, Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway at six, Ray Charles' Genius Loves Company at seven, John Legend's Get Lifted at nine and Eminem's Encore in the 10 spot.

The week's highest debut belonged to Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society, one of three Black-named bands on this year's Ozzfest. The ax-slinger's new disc, Mafia, sold 41,000 copies for a number 15 bow. Also making chart entries this week: Craig Morgan's My Kind of Livin' at 40 and Kasabian's self-titled at 94.

Next week, look for the Now That's What I Call Music! series to turn legal with volume 18 and possibly give 50 Cent a run for his money.

Here's a recap of last week's Top 10 albums, per Nielsen SoundScan:

1. The Massacre, 50 Cent
2. In Between Dreams, Jack Johnson
3. The Documentary, The Game
4. Rebirth, Jennifer Lopez
5. American Idiot, Green Day
6. Breakaway, Kelly Clarkson
