Lily Aldridge: mother, model, wife, Angel and bikini beauty—among other things.

It's no surprise that the brunette bombshell knows how to strut her fair share of lingerie, but the 28-year-old has gone from flaunting a bra and panties to also rocking hot bikinis on the beach.

Aldridge, whose modeled two-piece swimsuits for Victoria's Secret as well, has made the crossover to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and was named Rookie No. 8 for the magazine. According to the website, SwimDaily will be releasing the identities of the record-high 12 rookies picked to carry the Swimsuit franchise into its next 50 years.

Lily—along with already-named rookies Samantha Hoopes, Lauren Mellor, Marloes Horst, Hannah Ferguson and Emily Ratajkowski—will make their debut in the magazine's 50th Anniversary issue, which drops next week.

"I'm so excited to be a part of this iconic issue! My photos were shot in the Cook Islands by James Macari and it was paradise," Aldridge said of her swimsuit shoot.

The photo of Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill's lady shows the brunette babe modeling a neon bikini while sitting in the clear waters and, of course, giving the camera a killer smize and pout. She shared the snapshot with her Twitter followers and wrote, "So excited to be apart of the 2014 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue!!!!"

The article naming her as Rookie No. 8 also shares a throwback photo of a young Aldridge with supermodel Naomi Campbell.

"It was my brother [fashion photographer Miles'] wedding and I was one of the flower girls. Naomi and my sister Saffron [not pictured] were two of the bridesmaids," she told the mag. "My little sister Ruby is on the far left and the other little girl is Lily McMenamy who is a big model now. But Naomi is iconic and I always looked up to her, she's amazing. You can't be around Naomi Campbell and not feel her incredible presence. I mean, she's a supermodel."

Aldridge joins Tyra Banks, Marisa Miller, Selita Ebanks, Elle Macpherson, Heidi Klum and Molly Sims, among others, who have lent their good looks to both Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret.
