Russian snowboarder Alexey Sobolev doesn't look like he'd have any trouble picking up girls, but the Olympian decided it'd be fun to let the ladies pursue him.

So during Thursday's qualifying round, the 22-year-old athlete wore a helmet with his cell phone number written on it. As you can imagine, the texts, sexts and presumably NSFW pictures came in—so hard and fast, actually, that Alexey's phone crashed!

Per USA Today, the Russian star received more than 2,000 messages within 24 hours of sharing his number. Fortunately for sexy Alexey, the cell came back to life.

So why'd he share his digits? "It's really boring in the Olympic Village, you know?" he said to reporters Friday morning (and no, we don't know!).

But the athlete didn't end up qualifying for the slope style finals, so he can now refocus his efforts on sorting through his plethora of female suitors. "I'm definitely going to call them," he said of his favorites, per Yahoo Sports.

He also described a particular picture sent to him of a woman in the tightest dress in human history. And where was this top choice snap from? "Russia," he said. "Yesterday, some guys from USA and Canada sent (text messages). Some girls sent me photos. But Russian girls: The best!"
