Miley Cyrus Responds to High School Student's Prom Date Question—Did She Say Yes?

Singer tweeted on Saturday that she can't make it but invited him to her concert

High School student Matt Peterson really wants to take Miley Cyrus to his prom. So much so that he made an adorable, now viral, video asking the 21-year-old pop star to his formal school dance.

"I have been a fan of yours from the beginning. You've changed my life, and I want to repay you by giving you the best night of your life," Matt wrote alongside his prom invite.

The teenager then recaps their special history together: In 2009, "Mr. Cyrus" (that's Matt's nickname) waited outside a KissFM studio at 3 a.m. for a chance to meet Miley—and he did. A few months later she gave him a shout out at her concert.

Towards the end of the clip, he strips down naked with a foam finger and a bouquet of roses.

So, did the "Adore You" singer accept his sweet invitation and say yes?

"Dear Matt Peterson, I don't think I'll be able to make it to prom BUT why don't you come to my AZ show & hang w me? Don't forget a corsage," the Bangerz beauty tweeted on Saturday, along with an emoji kiss.

Okay, so she can't accompany him to the big night, but this is a pretty excellent offer!

And Matt seems to agree.

"I need a tongue tuxedo made by the 27th. THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE!!! #mileyprom," he enthusiastically replied on Twitter.

Looks like it's on because Miley responded back with "PuHlEaSe" and several—what else—tongue emojis.

It's a date!
