We love a good runway show just as much as the next fashionista, but that's not to say that there isn't plenty to ogle outside of the tents, too!

That's right, everyone knows that one of the highlights of New York Fashion Week is actually the spectacle of fantastic street style seen on everyday attendees, top bloggers, industry insiders and more; and we're keeping tabs on the best looks on the outskirts of Lincoln Center.

Despite the chilly temps in New York City right now, we're impressed with several ladies' commitment to dressing the part during this exciting time of the year.

We spotted a number of beauties wearing stunning ensembles, layering sweaters and coats over their mini skirts and dresses for the perfect touch of warmth and whimsy.

Black tights and knit beanies proved to be valuable accessories when braving the cold, and we also spied a lovely assortment of fabulous overcoats in unexpected colors like pastel periwinkle and chartreuse, too.

So refreshing!

Regarding footwear, we spotted a number of savvy gals rocking comfy black ankle booties instead of sexy stilettos—a smart decision given the icy sidewalks and falling snow.

Stay warm out there, ladies!
