The 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi are about to begin, and U.S. athletes are ready to make golden headlines overseas.

After her smokin' hot GQ photo shoot, we all know that Olympic skier Julia Mancuso is gorgeous. But she wants to be remembered for more than her just good looks. With rival Lindsey Vonn out of the games, the 29-year-old is definitely one of the front-runners in her event.

Shaun White is something of a veteran on the slopes at this point. Keep an eye on him over the next two weeks because the Olympic snowboarder has already won two gold medals in the halfpipe event, and he is ripe for a third.

CoverGirl spokesmodel Ashley Wagner is also ready to prove herself in competition. The Olympic figure skater has intensified her training regimen over the past several weeks and even dropped three pounds during preparation.

Olympic hurdler and media sweetheart Lolo Jones is tackling a new challenge and a new sport in Sochi. She surprised everyone when she made the swtich from the summer to winter games and announced her position on the bobsled team. This is new territory for the athlete, who is used to riding solo. Catch her in action to see how she performs in a team environment!

Other American standouts include Shani Davis, Gracie Gold, Bryan Fletcher, Julie Chu and Sarah Hendrickson!

Don't forget! E! begins broadcasting from Sochi starting Feb. 7!
