Watch: George Clooney's #1 Tip for Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week is about to kick off and George Clooney has one very important tip for all of the participants during the whirlwind experience.

"Drink, as much as you can," the Oscar winner quipped to E! News at the Monuments Men premiere on Tuesday in New York City.

All jokes about the fashion extravaganza aside, the 52-year-old thesp dished about starring, writing and directing the World War II drama.

"We wanted to do an old-fashioned, fun kind of war film," Clooney said. "We thought this was a really good story that people don't know. Most people don't know the true story behind all of this art. We thought it would be a fun story to tell."

A source tells E! News exclusively that following the premiere, the star-studded cast including Matt Damon, Jean Dujardin, Bill Murray and Cate Blanchett, headed over to the Metropolitan Club to celebrate.

According to the source, the old-school venue fit in perfectly with the film's theme and guests were treated to Casamigos tequila, George's brand.

"George felt so comfortable, this was his movie, he did the casting, produced it, he was partying with all his buddies having a great time," the source said. "George was there from the beginning till the very end, he literally would talk to every single person that came up to him."
