The first sneak peek is here!

Less than a week after Amanda Knox was found guilty in an Italian court retrial of the 2007 murder of her former roommate Meredith Kercher in Italy, a promo reel of Michael Winterbottom's psychological thriller The Face of an Angel, which is inspired by these events, has hit the Internet.

The 30-second glimpse features stars Daniel Brühl and Kate Beckinsale, who play a documentary filmmaker and journalist, respectively, who team up to try to understand the controversial case that sharply divided public opinion on both sides of the Atlantic, especially after Knox and her ex Raffaele Sollecito had their convictions overturned.

The movie is inspired by the book Angel Face: Sex, Murder and the Inside Story of Amanda Knox by the American journalist Barbie Latza Nadeau, and uses a fictional adaptation of Knox's 2007 murder trial in Umbria, Italy, along with the media circus that surrounded the entire case.

The Face of an Angel, which also stars model Cara Delevingne, is currently in post-production.

After being found guilty last week, Knox told Good Morning America's Robin Roberts that the latest conviction "hit me like a train."

"I couldn't believe what I was hearing," said an emotional Knox, who was sentenced on Thursday, Jan. 30, by Italy's supreme court, known as the Court of Cassation, to spend 28 years and six months in jail.
