The Mother Monster took to Twitter on Tuesday, Feb. 4, to give a shout-out to One Direction stud Liam Payne, who shared a photo of himself posing shirtless on the beach early this morning.
"You are a real life Botticelli Babe! Lookin good #Applause4Liam!!," the 27-year-old pop star captioned the pic where Payne's posing against the cool blue ocean backdrop, gazing up at the sun while flaunting his biceps as he strategically places two orange seashells over his bare chest.
"Hello mr @scott_mills listenin to you far away on holiday thank you for providing the soundtrack to our beach view," the 20-year-old boy-bander wrote of the original photo, which Gaga retweeted just hours later.
No word yet why the photo of Payne caught Gaga's attention but we'd be willing to bet it was the singer's orange makeshift seashell bikini, which bore a striking resemblance to the bra top the pop star sported during her performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.
Gaga also rocked the bikini in her "Applause" music video in which she channels Boticelli's famous painting "The Birth of Venus."
Payne—who, along with his One Direction bandmates, recently released the highly anticipated music video for the group's latest single "Midnight Memories"—has yet to reply to Lady G's gracious compliment.
So the only question left to ask is: Who wore it best?!
