Bonnie Dune Releases Cory Monteith's "Maybe Tonight" Song—Listen Here!

One of Cory Monteith's last songs has surfaced.

Bonnie Dune, the band the late Glee star played with prior to his passing, exclusively released "Maybe Tonight" to E! News, one of the final songs Monteith recorded before he died in July.

The band's new debut album, Miramar, has six songs on it that were all recorded in Los Angeles about a month before Monteith passed, and the thesp is on every one of the tracks.

Once the band stopped recording in May 2013, lead vocalist Justin Wilczynski said Monteith went to a dark place, leaving Los Angeles for Vancouver where he ultimately died.

Wilczynski said Monteith helped bring the band together, and that they started writing and recording tracks once they thought their songs were good enough.

"We finished these particular six songs quite a while ago," he continued. "Some things happened where Cory needed to take a break and we realized that he was struggling and that he was having a hard time, so we took a bit of a hiatus from the writing and recording process."

"We were always thinking we were going to go back and do more songs to release a full length record--I wanted to do a 10-song record," he continued. "When Cory passed we decided we would just release all the songs we recorded with him and release all the ones that we have."

As for whether this is a farewell album for Monteith, the singer said, he would call it more of a "celebration of his life and what he enjoyed doing," adding, "He definitely meant a lot to us and it was something that Cory really had a great time doing, we all did."

Monteith never got to hear all of the songs completely finished, but he did get to hear three of the songs—one of which was "Maybe Tonight."

When Wilczynski took him the songs to listen to, he said Monteith looked at him and said, "'This is amazing, I cannot believe how great it turned out.' I've never seen him that excited about a recording before."

Monteith showed his then-girlfriend Lea Michele the songs Wilczynski played for him too.

"She really liked them a lot," Wilczynski continued, saying "I am a big fan of her stuff and I'm proud of her. I was there during her process of writing and recording and it was really cool to see her I think become an artist like she's never been before."

Miramar will be released Tuesday, Feb. 4 on Itunes.
