We commit ourselves to staying on top of all the ever-changing trends (c'mon, it's in our name, after all—The Trend!).

But even we admit that it can be tricky to keep track of what's trending and what's fading fast. So, to keep you ahead of the game we're giving you the scoop on what's on its way up, what's on fire right this instant and what trend is sadly no longer with us. RIP.

Keep reading to see what trends are next, now or never to be again.

    NEXT: Ice Cream Sandwiches

Cupcakes are a thing of the past, macaroons are so 2010 and we're already bored by the cronut. But what sweet treat has never really had its day in the sun? The ice cream sandwich. And we're not talking about the plain old ice cream sandwiches you remember as a kid. Keep your eyes peeled for more specialty, gourmet ice cream sandwiches to start popping up on menus everywhere. We're hungry just thinking about it.

    NOW: Bob Haircuts

It seems like everywhere we turn another celeb has chopped off their shoulder-length hair in favor of a short bob. Whether worn sleek or slightly messy, it's all about the bob right now. Stars like Kristen Wiig, Zosia Mamet, Emma Roberts, Kate Mara and Jessica Alba look so gorgeous with their fresh new cut, they have us wanting to take the plunge and go short, too.

    NEVER: Wedge Sneakers

This is one trend that we just don't see gaining any steam in 2014. The wedge sneaker had its moment, but thankfully it doesn't have real staying power. Wedges? Fine. Sneakers? Fine. But not as a mashup, please.
