Ramona Singer Files for Divorce After Her Husband Mario Is Allegedy Caught Cheating

Real Housewives of New York City star is ending her 22-year marriage

It's officially over.

Ramona Singer filed for divorce from her husband Mario Singer in New York City Supreme Court on Tuesday, Jan. 28. The court documents are currently sealed, per The New York Daily News. The filing comes just one day after it was revealed that the couple had separated after 22 years of marriage.

Ramona, 57, confirmed the breakup news via Twitter on Jan. 29, writing, "Thank you all for the love & support! For my daughter [Avery]'s sake, I would appreciate everyone respecting our privacy during this difficult time." Six days earlier, she denied her marriage was on the rocks. "Everything is good," she told E! News at the Ramona Singer Wine dinner at David Burke at Bloomingdale's. "Everything's good!"

Rumors had been circulating for months that Mario was carrying on an affair with 27-year-old named Kasey Dexter. "Ramona had no idea about Kasey until the [New York] Post ran the story about Mario getting another woman pregnant over the summer," an insider told E! News on Wednesday, Jan. 29.

This past weekend, Ramona reportedly caught Mario spending time with his girlfriend at the couple's Hamptons home. "She saw him there with the girlfriend and made a big scene and called the police," a source told People. Even so, "She did not want a divorce. Ramona loves her life. She loves Mario."

Mario, who manufactures religious articles and trophies, has yet to address rumors of his infidelity. Ramona, meanwhile, did not return E! News' immediate request for comment.
