The Foo Fighters are back.

Following a brief hiatus, the rock band returned to the music scene in December, performing in Mexico City with the National.

And they're just getting started.

After rocking the stage at the Grammys Sunday, The "White Limo" crooners will help kick off Super Bowl weekend at the Bud Light Hotel, hitting the stage Saturday to headline Bud Light's Main Event concert in New York City.

And they're also gearing up for production on their eighth studio album.

A photo of a row of ATR master tapes with the label "Foo Fighters LP 8" was posted on the band's Instagram page a couple of weeks ago, with the caption, "It's F--king ON."

Frontman Dave Grohl, who took home a Grammy with Sir Paul McCartney for "Best Rock Song" this year, told Rolling Stone at the end of last year the band was about to start recording, adding that the album was going to be "badass."

"We're doing something that nobody knows about, it's f--king rad," he continued. "We begin recording soon, but we're doing it in a way that no one's done before and we're writing the album in a way that I don't think has been done before."

1. "The Pretender": Inspired by the Sesame Street song "One of These Things is Not Like the Other," the rock song was the lead single from the band's album, Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace.

2. "Everlong": The band's song didn't fully take off until Grohl played it on acoustic guitar for Howard Stern on his radio show, according to Rolling Stone. The shock jock loved the tune so much that he kept playing it for listeners, helping the song becoming one of the bands most popular songs to date.

3. "Learn to Fly": The song wasn't exactly Grohl's favorite from the band's album There Is Nothing Left to Lose, but it became one of the Foo Fighter's most successful hits. The single was the band's first to enter the Billboard Hot 100, and ended up being the second biggest hit of the band's career.

4. "Monkey Wrench": The punk rock song, about letting go of a miserable relationship, was released around the time Grohl divorced his first wife, photographer Jennifer Youngblood.

5. "Best of You": The infectious rock ballad, which had success worldwide, is one the band's biggest hits, even getting covered by Prince during the 2007 Super Bowl halftime show.
