When we saw this photo of Gwyneth Paltrow at the Hollywood Stands Up To Cancer event, we thought, "Well, someone's been pulling consecutive all-nighters."

We're so used to seeing the Iron Man star bright eyed and without a hair out of place. So it's no surprise that we were downright shocked when we saw her with "I've been up all night crying" eyes and tired tresses.

It's just so unlike the Goop Goddess to leave the house with visible shine on her forehead, swollen eyes and "straight from a highly chlorinated pool" hair. Judging by her expression, she wasn't too happy about it either!

Beauty Bailout: We have a lot of ground to cover here, so let's start with the haggard hair. Gwyneth needs a good shampoo followed by a deep conditioning treatment for damaged hair. At home, our favorite deep conditioning treatment on a budget treatment is Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deep Conditioner.

Honestly, the next best step is to visit the hairstylist to get those crispy ends lopped off. If that's not possible before a big night out, apply a styling product that will smooth and hydrate the hair as well as protect it from heat styling tools like Moroccan Smooth Perfection Blow Out Cream.

Then, using a large barrel round brush, blow out hair smooth section by section. Next, hide those crispy ends with a faux bob! Pull all of your hair back into a loose ponytail at the nape of your neck and secure with a clear elastic. Twist the ponytail tightly and tuck it underneath and secure with tons of bobby pins. Voila! No more damaged ends!

Now for the makeup. If you're suffering from fatigue face like Gwyneth, before you even put on a speck of makeup, make sure you give your skin a good wake up shake.  Start with a good cleansing and exfoliating treatment like Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser.

First, you massage the cleanser into dry skin (which boosts circulation) and then you dampen the muslin cloth and polish off the cream to gently dislodge dead skin cells. Bonus: This cleanser smells deliciously of "wake up" aromatic oils like Rosemary and Eucalyptus.

Follow with a plumping and hydrating deep moisturizer like LIERAC Hydra-Chrono+ Balm Intense Rehydrating Balm. Next, attack tired eyes by applying an eye cream like Dr. Brandt Flaws no More R3P Eye that has peptides to lock in moisture and caffeine, which acts as an anti-inflammatory, reducing puffiness and stimulating circulation.

After both moisturizer and eye cream have absorbed, apply a mattifying primer like LORAC "Porefection" Mattifying Face Primer. Next, apply brightening foundation like Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Brightening Makeup. Give cheeks a healthy flush by applying a pink cream blush in the apples of the cheeks.

If you have visible shine like Gwyneth, apply a translucent finishing powder that will soften the appearance of fine lines and pores like MAKE UP FOR EVER Finishing Powder with a powder kabuki brush.

To camouflage those puffy eyes, use a creamy concealer like Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer that won't settle into creases nor dry out parched skin. Start by applying with your ring finger and tapping under eye area, starting from the inner corner, working outwards. Tip: NEVER rub the under eye area or you could end up accelerating wrinkles by pulling at the delicate skin.

To make small, swollen eyes appear larger, start by covering upper eye area with a matte eye shadow in cream, ivory or nude. Next, with a small contouring brush, apply a cool soft matte brown like NYX Nude Matte Shadow in Underneath it All right above the eye crease. Blend.

Then, apply a white or cream shimmer eye shadow to the inner corners of the eyes. Finish the eyes with two to three coats of your favorite defining mascara.

We're not sure what's keeping poor Gwyneth up at night – perhaps the kids are having difficulties bouncing between time zones or she can't tear herself from her Goop writing. Either way, we hope she'll take our advice and next time we see her on the red carpet, she'll be her usual glowing self.  At the very least, we hope she'll chop off those crispy over-processed ends.  We're not asking for that much, are we?
