Demi Lovato is starting 2014 off on the right foot!

The "Neon Lights" singer took to Twitter to share with her legions of fans just how grateful she is for her progress—both professionally and personally—over the last several years.

"It's a great feeling knowing how to balance things in life. Feeling stronger and better than ever #2014," she wrote at first.

The former Disney darling added, "Happy Lovatic Day…I'm alive because of you all. Thank you….I love you all so much.. #YearsUnbroken."

Today marks the third year anniversary for her album Unbroken, which was released shortly after her stint in an inpatient treatment facility.

Lovato, who has been public about her struggles over the years, posted a final motivational message to her Lovatics.

"You CAN turn you life around. You can go through hell AND BACK. It IS possible. NEVER underestimate yourself. I BELIEVE IN YOU.."

Late last year, the star confessed in a candid interview with Access Hollywood just how extensive her addiction to drugs had become.

"Something I've never talked about before, but with my drug use I could hide it to where I would sneak drugs. I couldn't go without 30 minutes to an hour without cocaine and I would bring it on airplanes," she said.

"I would smuggle it basically and just wait until everyone in first class would go to sleep and I would do it right there. I'd sneak to the bathroom and I'd do it."

"That's how difficult it got and that was even with somebody [with me]," she continued, recalling the severity of her addiction.

"I had a sober companion, somebody who was watching me 24/7 and living with me [and] I was able to hide it from them as well."
