Prior to news of their relationship, Penn and Theron attended a Dec. 13 holiday party at Seth MacFarlane's house in L.A. Perhaps that's where the lovebirds first caught each other's eyes?
Penn and Theron first sparked romance rumors when they traveled to Hawaii to spend the holidays together. The twosome was caught relaxing on the beaches of Oahu with a pal before they were snapped arriving back in L.A. on New Year's Day.
Upon their return home, Penn and Theron were spotted leaving her house in separate cars after spending some at-home time together. Since then, they've been spotted out and about together numerous times. They were caught grabbing coffee in Malibu on Jan. 3 and on Jan. 5, Penn and Theron "looked like a normal couple" during a date at the movies where they saw The Wolf of Wall Street. Nothing like date night to keep the love alive, right?
Penn and Theron engaged in their first major PDA session during his Help Haiti Home fundraiser gala on Jan. 11. Theron and Penn didn't pose on the red carpet together, but things heated up inside the event, with the Prometheus star putting her arm around Penn when he sat down beside her at a table in the middle of the ballroom. He then gave her a few kisses on her neck, and they shared a sweet kiss on the lips.
Last week, CNN host Piers Morgan confirmed Penn and Theron's relationship. Morgan recounted hanging out with the lovebirds at Penn's Haiti fundraiser, writing in a recent magazine article, "At 2 a.m., Sean came over, and bear-hugged me. 'Congrats on a great night,' I said. 'And congrats on Charlize too.' He laughed. 'She's a keeper, that's for sure...well, I'll do my best to keep her anyway!'"
Shortly after, the lovebirds proved they would work as a family when they went grocery shopping at a West Hollywood Whole Foods with Theron's adorable son, Jackson. During the stop, Penn was even caught making faces for little Jackson's amusement. Too cute.
And just this past Sunday, Theron and Penn were spotted holding hands during a romantic weekend getaway to the Bay Area of California. The duo was all smiles while strolling around a local nursery together. Nothing like a mini vacation to kindle the fire of their budding romance.
One last sign that the duo are already serious? During Penn's Haiti gala earlier this month, he revealed to partygoers that Theron actually convinced him to get rid of his collection of 65 guns!
