Matthew McConaughey Goes on Vacation to Rome With Wife Camila Alves and Their Kids

Nothing like taking a much-needed family vacation in the midst of a busy awards season.

Matthew McConaughey was spotted with his wife Camila Alves and their precious kids on Sunday, Jan. 26 in Rome.

The beautiful clan was all smiles as they spent time touring the Coliseum with a few family members and friends, as well as sightseeing around the city.

The Dallas Buyers Club star, fresh off Golden Globe, Critics' Choice Award and SAG Award wins, is gearing up for the Oscars and perhaps preparing a highly entertaining acceptance speech.

The 44-year-old actor spoke to E! News at the Critics' Choice Awards on the heels of his Oscar nomination and he gushed about the film's success.

"For a little film that nobody wanted to make for 20 years, the right group got together," McConaughey told Jason Kennedy on the red carpet. "We didn't flinch and said we're gonna make this, scrapped together what money we could to get it made. Highly rewarding. Highly rewarding at this time of year that it's getting recognized."

He added: "It feels good that this is the gold standard of, you know Oscars is the gold standard of saying what's excellent in the industry."
