Anything Justin Bieber does—or doesn't do—is huge national international news.

And if there was any doubt about that, take a look at this MSNBC clip of foreign affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell cutting off Jane Harman mid-NSA discussion, saying, "Congresswoman, let me interrupt you just for a moment, we have some breaking news out of Miami…"

Yes, that breaking news was about the Biebs, but it wasn't his initial arrest or even his mug shot: It was the 19-year-old singer appearing before the judge for his bond hearing stemming from his Jan. 23 DUI arrest.

He's since been released to jail and has even been back on social media. But will the teen idol have to spend any more time behind bars?

Miami criminal defense attorney Bruce Bieber (no relation) told E! News that while J.B. faces a maximum of 19 months in a county jail if found guilty of charges he faces (driving under the influence, operating a motor vehicle with an expired license and resisting arrest without violence), he thinks it's unlikely he'll have to serve any additional time.

One thing's for sure, though: Whatever happens with the Biebs, the world will be watching.

(MSNBC and E! are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
