Revenge season three started off with a bang. Literally. For the beginning of the season, viewers were left wondering who pulled the trigger and sent Emily (Emily VanCamp) plunging into the ocean with a bullet inside her, ruining her wedding and possibly ending her life. It was Daniel, as viewers now know, something that made star Josh Bowman nervous.

"I was worried, I was a little worried, I got to admit," Bowman told E! News' Kristin Dos Santos. "But then I hope the audience thinks we executed it well. In a way I'm actually glad that it was me, because if it wasn't, then I probably would be in the same path of that character, so now we've taken it in a different direction, which has made him smarter and a little bit more with it."

Not only is Daniel a little wiser to Emily's schemes, but also he's getting a bit bad.

"They sharpened me up a little bit, and they're continuing to do that," Bowman said. "Obviously since the shooting I've just been getting a little badder and badder, but I don't see it as too bad."

Since the reveal and subsequent aftermath, Daniel has been getting back at Emily by cozying up to his ex-girlfriend Sara (Annabelle Stephenson).

"I loved having Sara come into the show. She was a nice break from the pursuit of Emily and waiting on hand and foot...So that was good," he said.

Next up for Revenge: a guest turn by Olivier Martinez.

"We have Olivier Martinez, who has joined our cast, which is great. I hope I get to work with him," Bowman said.

The actor will play Pascal LeMarchal, Margaux's (Karine Vanasse) media mogul father. Look for him to pop up later this season.

Revenge returns with new episodes on Sunday, March 9.
