If Emma Roberts' new bob is any indentation of the type of wedding she's planning, we're in for one sophisticated affair.

The American Horror Story: Coven actress debuted a sleek chin-length crop at Elle magazine's Women in Television event Wednesday night. The mini makeover comes just weeks after the star flaunted her engagement ring—with fiancé Evan Peters at her side—at the Golden Globes. 

Pal Emmy Rossum, who was also at the fete last night, already gave her stamp of approval on Twitter, writing: "Emma Roberts chopped her hair into a bob and I love it!"

But who inspired the star to get the big chop? Well, it's quite possible Roberts' AHS costar Sarah Paulson, who showed off a similar bob at the 2014 SAG Awards a few days prior, served as the catalyst.
