To our delight, Matt Damon didn't just stick with the GWP and supply and demand while addressing the World Economic Forum.

"This is a really, really big honor and I want to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press Association...Wait, this is the wrong speech," the actor and Water.org cofounder began while there to accept an award for his role in the quest to expand access to drinkable water around the world.

"This is the Golden Globes speech I never got to give," Damon clarified, deadpan, referring to his loss that night to Behind the Candelabra costar Michael Douglas for Best Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries.

"I know I didn't win, but to be honest I kind of want to give this speech anyway," he continued. "It's pretty good. There's this part where I talk about what it was like working with Michael Douglas, and I get kind of emotional. It's really good!

"Then I get a big kiss from Bono...Anyway, I'll do that next year maybe."

Amy Poehler, of course, was the one who got a neck rub and big kiss from Bono when she won Best Actress in a Comedy Series for Parks and Recreation, but Damon got a classy shout-out from Douglas at least.

"There are two people in particular I really want to acknowledge," Douglas said in thanks, the other person being director Steven Soderbergh. "Matt Damon, the bravest, talented actor I've ever worked with. And the only reason you're not here is...I had more sequins."

And the kudosfest continued at the Screen Actors Guild Awards last Saturday, despite it being yet another loss for Damon.

"Matt, I want to be serious right now. I know we've gone head-to-head," Douglas said, getting in one last double entendre about his onscreen love affair with Damon, who shook his head and mouthed "no" from the audience.

"But the truth is, and you know it, I am not here without Matt Damon. Matt Damon," Douglas continued, pausing for applause, "had the courage to stand by early on in this part. While I was sick, we had to wait for another year [to start shooting], and Matt was there. It's really the joy of acting and Matt, this is yours too, you know that. Thank you all, thanks very much."
