Are you ready for the single greatest showcase of athleticism in the history of sports? And if you think we're talking about the Super Bowl…you're wrong. And if you think we're talking about the Puppy Bowl, well, at least you're on the right track.
We're talking about Hallmark Channel's Kitten Bowl, bounding onto our small screens on Sunday, Feb, 2. We feel like there's some other sporting event happening that day, but golly, we can't remember what it is for the life of us.
The Kitten Bowl, which Hallmark Channel appropriately calls "the greatest feline showdown in cable television history," features adorable fluffy kittens jumping through hoops, chasing lasers and playing with toys and strings. They have positions like Yarn Ripper, Mouse Trapper and Long Napper. (That last one is our favorite position in life). The precious kittens have names like Jay Catler, Feline Manning and Tabby Romo. This is just good, clean American fun, folks!
Are you ready for the best part? Are you?! Every single kitten participating in the event are guaranteed a place to call their forever home through Hallmark Channel's partnership with North Shore Animal League America. Did you just get all happy and warm inside? Us, too! But that's mostly because we've been smuggling kittens into work by hiding them underneath our sweaters.
Check out some preview photos below to witness the grace, the athleticism and the general all-around cuteness of the fierce competitors. And even better, there is a kitten cam featuring the training camp. Warning: training for these guys involves lots of naps. Which is weird, because that's how we train for pretty much anything.
