Kristen Bell has some strong feelings about a certain piece of Veronica Mars merchandise. The House of Lies star stopped by Conan and the talk-show host brought out Bell's Frozen doll. Then he pulled out the (somewhat unfortunate) bust of Bell in character from Veronica Mars.
"It's corpse makeup, first of all. I've got a choker on…those are not my boobs, you guys," Bell said while examining the miniature statue.
"They're trying to break free of your arms," Conan O'Brien said.
Bell said the bust was "about the ugliest representation I could ever draw of myself" but conceded the "saddest part" about the bust was how they made it.
"They scanned me for this, so unfortunately this is exactly what I looked like on that day!" she said. "I have to take full responsibility for this."
Bell handed the statue out as gifts to her House of Lies costars during the show's first season.
"It's the worst," she said. "You can't—you can't get worse, I don't think…I hate it so much."
O'Brien then placed it on his desk and said it'd stay there for all time.
Bell will return to the role that inspired that ugly statue when the Veronica Mars movie hits select AMC theaters on Friday, March 14. In the movie, Bell's title character returns to her hometown, Neptune, to help her ex-boyfriend Logan (Jason Dohring) who has been charged with murder. The events of the movie will be followed by a book series and The CW recently announced a digital spinoff series. In the spinoff series, Ryan Hansen, Dick Casablancas to VMars fans, will attempt to get a spinoff from the TV show/movie.
"It'll focus on Ryan Hansen playing a version of himself trying to put together a Dick Casablancas spin-off of Veronica Mars. It'll be a comedy. Ryan will call on pals of his from Veronica Mars, Party Down and beyond to help him get the show off the ground," series creator and film director Rob Thomas told E! News in an email statement.
