Modern Family

ABC/Ron Tom

Bring your appetite and pull up a chair, because you've been invited to three wild and crazy dinners.

On Wednesday's all-new episode of Modern Family, the Dunphys, the Pritchett-Tuckers, the Pritchett-Delgados, and all the other hyphened possibilities, are planning three very special (and very awkward!) dinner dates.

Phil (Ty Burrell) and Claire (Julie Bowen) are determined to give Haley (Sarah Hyland) a giant kick in the booty (Oh we meant, "gentle push!") to start taking her future more seriously. In order to ease into the conversation, the world's most relatable parents take their first-born out to dinner, and in true Modern Family fashion, hilarity ensues!

We've got your exclusive first look at "Three Dinners," the latest episode of Modern Family's weekly soirée into our small screens. When a cute waiter named Brian stops by the table, Phil's classic Dad-attempt at trying to relate to Haley goes from bad to painfully uncomfortable.

"I'd kill to have those lips. I mean on me. I mean I want his lips on my mouth," he stammers. Real smooth, Phil.

Take a look above at the exclusive clip to see how the Dunphys plan on "gently easing her into a conversation about her future" without having to resort to their usual persuasion tactic: screaming at each other until Haley slams the basement door. P.S. Is anyone else desperately craving a basil mojito now?

Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
