That's quite a look, Miley Cyrus.
In honor of her upcoming MTV Unplugged special, the 21-year-old singer posted a picture of herself wearing star-shaped nipple pasties, fake buckteeth and a chin-length wig via Instagram on Monday, Jan. 20. The network first announced the news during an episode of its hit scripted series Teen Wolf.
Miley Cyrus: MTV Unplugged will air on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 9 p.m. EST/PST. The network promises that the concert will "showcase a more intimate side of Cyrus" and will feature several surprise guests.
"The Unplugged stage has been home to some of the most iconic live performances of all time," Amy Doyle, Executive VP of Music and Talent Programming Strategy for MTV said in a statement. "Miley's vision for the performance is like nothing we've ever seen. I can say that this will easily be one of the most memorable Unplugged performances to date."
In October 2013, the network gave Cyrus her own special, Miley: The Movement.
MTV's Unplugged debuted in November 1989 and has featured performances from a range of artists and bands, including Adam Lambert, Adele, Alicia Keys, Bruce Springsteen, Hole, Jay Z, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne, Mariah Carey, Nirvana, Paramore and Shakira.
In 2012, Cyrus performed a handful of acoustic covers as part of her "Backyard Sessions" series. Her versions of classic hits like "Jolene" and "Lilac Wine" were uploaded to YouTube and received rave reviews. The "Wrecking Ball" singer will kick off her 38-city Bangerz tour in Vancouver on Feb. 14.
