Breaking news: We've learned what Kerry Washington and husband Nnamdi Asomughas are planning to name their baby!

OK, that may be a bit of a white lie, but we can't help if it her costar Columbus Short is so darn charming that we'll believe almost anything he tells us.

Case in point: We chatted with Short at ABC's TCA party at the 2014 Winter Press Tour, where he revealed to E! News,"She's naming her baby Columbus, whether it's a boy or a girl. She was just like, 'Columbus, that name is sweet!'"

And it seems like the sure-to-be-gorgeous baby will be inheriting his mother's super-speedy speaking skills and amazing fashion sense, according to her handsome costar.

"I think Kerry Washington's baby is going to come out fully able to speak at Scandal pace," he joked. "The baby's going to come out with just a white coat with the collar popped."

White coat or not, Washington, who donned a daring Vera Wang crop top at the 2014 SAG Awards on Saturday night, is "going to be the most amazing mother," her costar Darby Stanchfield gushed, adding she is "so, so excited" for the head Gladiator.

"She's already a mom. She already mothers all of us. She's very Olivia Pope to us, making sure we're all taken care of and happy," Stanchfield went on. "She's really glowing. She's really happy. She's genuinely so looking forward to this moment, so it's fun to share in it with her."

Of course, we had to at least try and pry some Scandal scoop out of the notoriously tight-lipped stars. But they weren't spilling any details about the ABC hit's Feb. 27 return.

"The first four episodes are literally, you're going to need respirators. It's crazy," Short teased, while Stanchfield added, "The First Lady has some really good, steamy stuff coming up. And Harrison [Short], we finally get to see a lot more rollout for him, which is great."

Hm... could that rollout include a romance? Well, when we asked Short, he just did a bit of a hip shake.
