Well, that's not what we wanted to hear!

Obviously, the book Fifty Shades of Grey is famous for its hot and heavy sex scenes, so the question of how those will play out on the big screen has been on fans' minds since the moment the adaptation news was confirmed.

While many may have hoped that the studio would go with it and make Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele's sexual activity as raunchy as E L James' erotica novel depicts it to be (especially after hearing that there might be an NC-17 rating!), it seems as though they've opted to tone it down a bit.

"Its less racy than the book. They felt it would be too much, so they have dialed those scenes back," a source exclusively tells E! News.

Regardless, fans of the trilogy will be pleased to hear that stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have "great chemistry" when it comes to doing the no-pants dance together.

"Overall, the two have great chemistry now. They have filmed a majority of the sex scenes and have really hit it off," the source adds, and tells E! News that production only allows a small crew to shoot the sex scenes. Instead of the normal 60 people, there are only 12 crew members present because they are such pivotal scenes.

When they're not shooting, Johnson enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Jordan Masterson, who are "still going strong. They appear to be very happy," a source says, while Dornan plays with some of the fancier props on set.

"Jamie Dorman loves to drive the Audi and took it off set. The first time everyone thought it was funny, but then realized it's a security and safety concern. So they had to tell Jamie he is only allowed to drive from point A to point B."

Rita Ora, who landed in Vancouver earlier this week to begin filming, "stays to herself pretty much. She is low-key and shy," source explains, adding that she's done a fitting for her role as Mia and will be wearing a brown wig, similar to Uma Thurman's in Pulp Fiction.

On the other hand, Max Martini, who plays Christian Grey's bodyguard, gets very involved with nearby fans. Source tells E! News he's "the nicest guy. He comes across the street to where the fans are standing and takes pics and gives autographs to everyone who wants one. He even goes out of his way to come back across the street and ask if he missed people and will then take pics with them."

Fifty Shades of Grey hits theaters Feb. 13, 2015.
