Beauty Police: Alyssa Milano Has a Drag-Out Battle with Hair Frizz…And Loses

The first thing we thought when we saw this photo of Alyssa Milano at the 2014 UNICEF Ball was, "Wow, the rain must have been bad in Los Angeles last night." In reality, it was in the mid-80's and sunny.

We figure the gorgeous former child star was hoping for luscious Gisele Bündchen beach waves but instead, ended up with a big frizzy helmet. She obviously didn't prep her locks with the right products.

And the loose waves hairstyle may be a "don't" for the Mistresses star's shoulder-length hair. That is, unless she opts to dry her hair with a diffuser attachment.

We do give kudos to Alyssa for her ultra-flattering makeup. The shimmering cognac eye shadow and black eyeliner made her brown eyes sparkle and her cheeks were the perfect natural flush of pink.

Beauty Bailout: The first thing to always remember before going into battle with frizz is never dry your hair with a towel, which will rough up the cuticle.  Instead, scrunch sopping wet hair with paper towels.

Next, apply a dime size of cream leave-in conditioner that will calm frizz and give hair a little luster like Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream. Then, section-by-section, finger-comb a styling cream through hair like Oribe Crème for Style, which will also combat frizz and give your hair flexible hold.

To create soft, loose, frizz-free curls, attach a diffuser with fingers to your hair dryer and dry hair section-by-section. For maximum volume, dry hair with your head flipped upside down.

When hair is almost completely dry, apply pomade that will seal in moisturizers and prevent frizz throughout the day like Ouidad Clear Control Pomade.

We totally sympathize with Alyssa... She was probably perusing the latest Victoria's Secret catalog for something special for Valentine's Day and saw the models' frizz-free beach waves and thought, "I want those!" Trust us on this Alyssa, leave the beach waves to Gisele and don't let us catch you ruining your naturally pretty hair with extensions.  We're just sayin'…
