Drake addressed his Degrassi past in his new Saturday Night Live promos and we're having a moment. The actor-turned-rapper will host and be the musical guest for the Saturday, Jan. 18 episode of SNL.

In the video below, Drake sits with Bobby Moynihan and Jay Pharoah and listens to Pharoah's thoughts on duck belly buttons—do they have them!?—and Moynihan's cool cat tracks. The three of them also discuss dropping beats, and then there's the Degrassi talk and Drake's monologue. We'll never forget you, Jimmy Brooks.

When SNL returns, there will be a new face among the bunch. Sasheer Zamata joined the cast during the show's winter hiatus. Zamata is the first black woman to be part of the cast since Maya Rudolph left the show in 2007. Her casting comes after a bevy of headlines and criticism over SNL's diversity after six new cast members—all of them white—joined the cast for season 39.

Zamata isn't the only new addition to the series. Saturday Night Live also hired two new writers, LaKendra Tookes and Leslie Jones. The two new writers were found during the recent SNL auditions in Los Angeles and New York which were held to look for a new cast member.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
