Pacific Palisades passerbys witnessed a 10-acre brush fire tonight, and famous chef Giada De Laurentiis shared a close-up view of the scene to her Instagram followers.

The Food Network star posted a photo of the raging fire that broke out earlier this afternoon, which has blazed its way down the Pacific Coast Highway between Malibu and Santa Monica, with the caption, "Afternoon jog on the beach..... #blessourFiremen."

The picture shows numerous fire engines trying to contain the fire, as a water drop took place.

The fire was first reported at 3.08 p.m. local time on Tuesday and quickly engulfed 10 acres of the expensive coastline, threatening million-dollar homes and halting traffic on the busy coastal road in the Pacific Palisades, according to NBC News.

The blaze comes dangerously close to multiple star homes, including De Laurentiis, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Larry David and Stevie Nicks.

As a result of the flames, the westbound 10 Freeway from Lincoln Boulevard to the PCH was closed. Three city helicopter crews, one county helicopter crew, four water-dropping helicopters, "Super Scooper" aircraft, as well as 160 firefighters, were on the scene. Firefighters from Santa Monica also helped with the effort.

Around 4:50 p.m., most of the active flames were reportedly knocked down.

"It was an unclean burn. There were a lot of pockets of fuel still inside. Obviously the winds are still upon us, we have stronger winds coming in tonight, so we'll keep companies out here all night long," LAFD Battalion Chief Guy Tomlinson said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
