DCAP/AKM-GSIAmanda Bynes has returned to school!
The 27-year-old actress attended her first class at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) today at the school's Orange County campus, a source exclusively reveals to E! News.
"She was very nice, friendly and chatting with her classmates," the source tells us.
The source adds that Bynes was "originally going to be a fashion design major but has now decided to pursue merchandise product development. She is enrolled part-time for the winter quarter."
E! News reported that Bynes had enrolled at FIDM earlier this month. Back in December, she went for a tour at the FIDM O.C. campus dressed incognito in jeans and a floral-print shirt with sunglasses shielding her face and her hair pulled up in a ponytail.
Bynes has been spending lots of time with her parents since being released from treatment in early December. At the time, Bynes attorney told E! News the Hairspray star was "doing very well and reestablishing a close and loving relationship with her family."
Since being released, Bynes has been spotted on shopping trips with her mom and dad. The family even went on a trip to Disneyland last month.
Guess now Bynes will be spending more of her free time studying and hitting the textbooks!
