Jacqueline Bisset on Bizarre Golden Globes Acceptance Speech: "I Can't Remember What I Said"

Actress also admitted she was stunned when her name was called because she thought her category was coming up later in the evening

Kudos to Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, but we must admit: Jacqueline Bisset's Golden Globes acceptance speech made for one of the most memorable (and buzzed about) moments of the night.

After a long walk to the stage—66 seconds to be exact—the 69-year-old actress, who took home the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries, or TV Movie for her work in Dancing on the Edge, was rendered speechless before she attempted to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, stumbling over her words in her head-scratching speech.

She then tried to regain her composure by saying, "Scottish background to the front!" before she dropped an S-bomb as the producers played the music, signaling for Bisset to wrap up—a signal which the star chose to ignore and instead continued to ramble.

All in all, it was amazing. And now Bisset is (sort of) explaining her speech while admitting that the bizarre moment was all a blur to the Bullitt beauty.

While speaking with Page Six backstage after the ceremony, the actress confessed, "I can't remember what I said. Somebody told me I swore?"

You are correct, Ms. Bisset.

But in all fairness to the Rich and Famous star, Bisset thought her category was coming up later in the evening, so she was even more in shock when they called her name to come to the podium.

"I was told my category was coming up second from last, so I was absolutely stunned," she told Variety backstage. "I wondered why the guy was there with a camera on me."

She added: "I was completely out of it, I was thinking about my dinner. And I still haven't gotten my dinner yet."

After Bisset said "s--t" in the midset of her speech when the music started playing, the Golden Globe winner continued, drawing laughs from the audience when she proclaimed, "Like my mother, she used to say, 'Go to hell and don't come back!'"

She then ended her speech by telling the audience that forgiveness is the best beauty regimen before finally wrapping up by thanking her friends and her family.

Hey, give the girl a break—after all, she had an empty stomach.
