Golden Globes: 10 Percent of Telecast Was Winners Walking to the Stage—Who Took the Longest?

Last night's show involved a lot of walking

Last night's Golden Globe Awards show was full of great speeches from the night's big winners.

But before the A-list actors got to the stage to thank their family, friends and costars, they had to do a lot of walking!

Approximately ten percent of Sunday's night's NBC telecast of the Globes featured the winners making a long trek trough the Beverly Hilton Hotel ballroom, according to a tally done by the Washington Post. That means in addition to the great speeches and funny jokes made by hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, viewers spent over 12 minutes of the 122-minute telecast watching people walk.

The paper also reports that it took winners an average of 29 seconds to walk to the stage to get their award. So who took the longest?

Jacqueline Bisset, who won Best Supporting Actress, TV for Dancing on the Edge, took 66 seconds to get to the stage. She also made the longest (and most confusing) of the night's acceptance speeches.

Coming in second is the Breaking Bad cast, who won Best Drama Series and took 51 seconds to get onstage. Elisabeth Moss (Best Actress, Miniseries) nabbed third with 45 seconds followed by the Behind the Candelabra cast (Best Miniseries or TV Movie) with 44 seconds.

The fastest star of the night? Amy Adams, who took home the trophy for Best Actress, Comedy for American Hustle hustled her way up in just 11 seconds. That means other big winners like Jennifer Lawrence, Jared Leto, Matthew McConaughey and Leonardo DiCaprio all fell somewhere around the average time.
