But then we caught a glimpse of Kate Mara.
Yes, that's Kate Mara, sister of Rooney Mara and star of the Netflix original series, House of Cards. You may not recognize her on account of the two surprises she delivered onto the first major award show of the year.
The petite star either recently enhanced her rack or has never revealed quite so much boob. Either way, we were shocked to see her girls on full display courtesy of this J. Mendel dress.
And if those double D's didn't give us enough of a double take, the natural brunette is now a bombshell blond!
As far as we're concerned, all these unexpected developments are a pleasant surprise. The platinum metallic of her drapey dress perfectly compliments the platinum tone of her new locks, and on behalf of jealous women and drooling men everywhere, let us be the first to welcome Kate into the Red Carpet Rack Revealers club.
She can expect her certificate from Sofía Vergara any day now.
