Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are a notoriously private pair, but that didn't stop the married couple from showing a little bit of PDA on Saturday, Jan.11.

The Goop goddess and the Coldplay rocker attended Sean Penn's star-studded Help Haiti Home gala at the Montage hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 41-year-old actress looked elegant and svelte in a white V-neck formfitting dress, while the 36-year-old musician sported a black dress shirt and matching jacket.

The duo was all-smiles as they sat at their table during the evening's festivities.

Paltrow was spotted cuddling up to her hubby and whispering in his ear, while Martin grinned widely as he listened intently to his wife.

An auction was also held at the charity gala, which benefits the J/P HRO, and Martin won a 39"x48" painting on a wooden board by British street artist Banksy for $650,000.

In addition to Paltrow and Martin, Charlize Theron, Julia Roberts, Chris Hemsworth and pregnant wife Elsa Pataky, Winona Ryder, Michael Douglas and Emma Thompson also attended the gala.

The night before, the couple attended Diane von Furstenberg's "Journey of a Dress" party hosted by Veuve Clicquot on Friday, Jan. 10 in Los Angeles.

"They were holding hands when they got there," the source said. "When they came in, they went right to say hi to Diane. Diane gave them a tour."

The source adds that Paltrow "loved" all of the dresses on display and von Furstenberg was excited to show the duo the Studio 54 lounge, where they all hung out for a while.
