Who knew one dress could have such a big impact on the fashion world?!
That's exactly what Diane Von Furstenberg has done with her iconic wrap dress, and the stars came out to celebrate the forty-year anniversary of the fashionista's famed frock at DVF's "Journey of Dress" Exhibition premiere in Los Angeles on Friday, Jan. 10.
"I just want everybody to have a good time, that's all," Von Furstenberg told reporters on the carpet as she entered the star-studded party, which was attended by a number of A-list celebs.
Flaunting her flawless figure in a plunging black wrap pantsuit, Gwyneth Paltrow attended the party with her hubby Chris Martin, where the notoriously private twosome appeared to be having a great night together, as a source revealed to E! News.
"They were holding hands when they got there," the source said. "When they came in, they went right to say hi to Diane. Diane gave them a tour."
But the powerhouse couple certainly weren't the only famous faces at the event. Demi Moore attended the party—sans her new 27-year-old beau Sean Friday—and appeared relaxed as she hung with friends, while looking fabulous in a low-cut sparkly DVF jumpsuit.
Uma Thurman was also spotted chatting with a gal pal, carrying a fabulous Prada handbag and rocking a trendy cropped jacket and black pair of pants. The 43-year-old beauty looked casual and low key with her straight blonde hair down as she laughed up a storm before throwing on a cape-style coat and exiting the bash just before 10 p.m.
Newlyweds Seth Meyers and Alexi Ashe, who were not seen drinking alcohol, also attended the fashion fete, holding hands as they chatted with other partygoers, while appearing affectionate and adorable as ever.
And Tobey Maguire and wife Jennifer Meyer were also busy mingling with other attendees, as Von Furstenberg celebrated the night of success and posed with various party guests.
Additional celebs in attendance included newly engaged Robin Wright and her fiancé Ben Foster, Ashley Olsen, Anna Wintour, Allison Williams, Rooney Mara, Rachel Zoe, Anderson Cooper, Matt Bomer, Rosario Dawson and many more.
Guests sipped on Veuve champagne, browsed through the gifting lounge, which included an Instagram booth, and admired the exhibition, which was not only filled with various photos of the iconic dress, but was also complete with a large display of mannequins all wearing the famous wrap gown.
The exhibition, located at the Wilshire May Company building next to the LACMA campus, will be open to the public from Jan. 11 through March 2014, so be sure to check it out!
