France's broadcast watchdog reportedly said TV channels should only show Cyrus' video for "Wrecking Ball" and Spears' video for "Work Bitch" after 10 p.m., when the kiddos are asleep and French broadcasters begin airing a range of programming more suited for adults.
The watchdog, CSA, said in a statement Thursday that some channels were showing them in the daytime and without any parental guidance warnings.
Cyrus riding around naked on a wrecking ball is too sexually explicit, the statement explains, and Spears, with her bondage gear, shows "a sadomachistic universe representing women in a way that risks shocking many viewers."
This isn't the first time Brit Brit has been banned for being too sexy.
Reports that the 31-year-old's "Work Bitch" video was banned before 10 p.m. in the U.K. began surfacing in October, after it was deemed too provocative for daytime airings on music channels, including MTV and The Box.
"While the video has gone down a storm online, it's a bit too much to play on TV," a source told The Mirror. Channels were reportedly calling for Spears to release a "clean" edit of the video to broadcast before 10 p.m. that is suitable for all audiences.
Miley, on the other hand, hasn't exactly been banned before, but some of her favorite activites have.
After Cyrus took twerking to another level, Annapolis High School in Maryland made their students and parents to sign a "dance contract," prohibiting them from doing the booty-shaking dance move during their homecoming dance.
The contract dictated that students "demonstrate good character" and "the manner of dancing with be appropriate for a school function. No sexually explicit dancing will be tolerated."
