With her Vegas show dark for the evening, the "Work Bitch" artist won her first-ever People's Choice Award—for Favorite Pop Artist—and made her award-show debut as a couple with boyfriend David Lucado (who, yes, left his Virginia Tech gear behind for the occasion).
"Wow!" Britney squealed when she reached the stage. "This is awesome, I was not expecting this."
"It's because of all of you that I'm able to do what I love to do," Brit continued, going on to thank her family, her "beautiful boys" at home and "all of you."
Which technically included Lucado, too, right?
Spears chose a skin-tight, sparkly long-sleeve minidress and nude heels for the occasion. Lucado, who's been dating the pop princess—make that the People's favorite pop princess—for almost a year now, looked dapper in a dark suit.
