Carly Rae Jepsen's transformation into a princess has begun!

The "Call Me Maybe" singer shared a behind-the-scenes photo with her Instagram followers tonight, posting a black and white photo of herself getting fitted into one of the gowns she'll be wearing for her Broadway role in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella starting Feb. 4.

"First day on set and they let me try on the BIG wedding dress! They had to bribe me with smarties to take it off. @CinderellaBway let's play dress up again tmr please! #CinderellaBway," Jepsen captioned the photo.

The news that Carly would be taking the stage was first announced in late December, after learning that Jepsen was replacing Laura Osnes, who received a Tony nomination for the starring role.

Osnes is exiting the show after a yearlong run at the Broadway Theatre. Jepsen, 28, will appear in the musical production for 12 weeks. "Broadway has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and I look forward to working with this incredibly talented cast to tell this classic tale," the pop star said.

She later tweeted, "Dear @LauraOsnes I think you are truly lovely. Big shoes to fill! It's an honor to try on the Cindy shoes! Xoxox."

This is Jepsen's Broadway debut, but not her first time taking on a musical. The star also performed in high school productions of Annie, Grease and The Wiz in British Columbia.
