If anyone can make a mullet look hunky, it's Hugh Jackman, right?
The 45-year-old Aussie actor took to his Instagram page earlier today to share a close-up shot of his unusual new hairdo. In the shot, Jackman flaunts short hair on the top of his head with longer, more curly locks at the back of his neck.
But not to worry, Jackman fans. The mullet 'do isn't a new trend Jackman is trying out. It's for his new film role in the upcoming thriller Chappie.
The Oscar nominee made a shout-out to his first day on the movie set in the pic's caption, writing, "Day 1 on Chappie! Vincent is born, rocking the mullet. Working with Neill Blomkamp in SA. This film is rad."
According to the flick's IMDb page, Chappie, which costars Dev Patel and Sigourney Weaver, tells the story of a boy who is kidnapped by two criminals at birth. "Chappie becomes the adopted son in a strange and dysfunctional family. Chappie is preternaturally gifted, one of a kind, a prodigy. He also happens to be a robot," the page reads.
Jackman is currently in South Africa filming the flick.
He shared a safari photo of a lion roaring on Instagram the other day, writing, "What an amazing trip! Phinda Safari ... Justin, our ranger - extraordinary!"
