He's ba-a-ack!

Happy National Josh Holloway Comes Back to TV Day, y'all! The Lost star made his official return to the small screen tonight in CBS' new drama Intelligence, which finds him taking on the role of action star as a U.S. Cyber Command agent with a microchip implanted in his brain that allows him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum. (Sawyer who?!)

His character Gabriel Vaughn is basically the world's best hacker, thanks to his complete access to Internet, WiFi, telephone and satellite data through the handy-dandy chip. Working alongside Gabriel is Secret Service agent Riley Neal (Once Upon a Time's Meghan Ory) and Cyber Command Director Lillian Strand, played by CSI fan favorite Marg Helgenberger. "I loved the script, I thought it was incredibly smart," Helgenberger told E! News of her own decision to return to TV.)

So what took Holloway so darn long to come back to TV? "'Cause I'm lazy," he joked when E! News chattted with him about his highly anticipated return. "That's partially true. No, I wanted to do some movies and experience that world, so I did." Well, we're glad you're back, sir!

And after playing the smooth-talking Sawyer on Lost for six years, Holloway wanted to take on a drastically different role.

"I definitely wanted to do something other than [Sawyer] and this was also something I grew up loving. I grew up with three brothers and we always played spy and sneak and all these games. I grew up wanting to be James Bond or a Mission: Impossible agent," he told us. "I was like this is a no-brainer and also it's just a skill set I haven't gotten to use a lot. I've done martial arts for years and I have a good bit of experience with weapons and so forth…It just naturally attracted me and I thought the script was really smart and current."

What did you think of Intelligence? Are you as happy to have Holloway back on TV as we are?
