No magazine's movie Issue would be complete without Jennifer Lawrence!
So, it's no wonder that star of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and American Hustle covers W's movie Issue, on stands Jan. 7. But she's not the only A-lister gracing a glossy: Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club and Mud), Amy Adams (American Hustle and Her), Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine), Oprah Winfrey (Lee Daniels' The Butler) and Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years a Slave) have their own covers, too!
The magazine states that the "search for humanity and a sense of self" is "the common thread" in the 35 movie performances of 2013 spotlighted in their movie issues. In addition to the cover-gracing stars, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues star Will Ferrell, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom's Idris Elba, Rush and Thor: The Dark World's Chris Hemsworth and Her's Scarlett Johansson are among the actors featured inside.
But, back to J.Law! She didn't disappoint when speaking with W's Movie Issue, cutely remembering her famous fall last year. "I was at the Oscars, waiting to hear if my name was called, and I kept thinking, Cakewalk, cakewalk, cakewalk," she recalls. "I thought, Why is ‘cakewalk' stuck in my head? And then, as I started to walk up the stairs and the fabric from my dress tucked under my feet, I realized my stylist had told me, ‘Kick, walk, kick, walk.' You are supposed to kick the dress out while you walk, and I totally forgot because I was thinking about cake! And that's why I fell."
Clearly, that little tumble didn't cause her to fall from her position as America's very talented and delightfully unfiltered sweetheart!
