Kristen Bell has a healthy attitude about sex.
The House of Lies actress stopped by E!'s Chelsea Lately on Monday, Jan. 6, where she divulged the parenting philosophy she shares with husband Dax Shepard. "She can watch whatever she wants," Bell said of daughter Lincoln, born in March 2013. "People ask, 'Oh, well you've done some sexy material. Do you not want her to see that?' And I'm like, 'My guess is if she's anything like the other 5 billion people on the planet, she's gonna grow up and enjoy sex, so I'm not gonna be shocked by that.'"
According to Bell, it would be foolish to think her daughter would be disinterested in exploring her womanhood one day. "I just think you're setting yourself up for disaster if you try to keep them little," the TV star explained. "She's gonna grow up. She has—newsflash!—a vagina, and she's gonna figure it out one day, and more power to her."
Bell may be progressive when it comes to discussing sex, but that doesn't mean she's worry-free.
"I was so into skiing up until last year. This past year I couldn't do it. I'm telling you, I was on the ski team in high school, I skied all growing up, but I got to the slopes last year to the very top and I thought, 'Oh my god! What are we doing? This is so dangerous! Everybody get off the mountain! Run right now! Like, what are we trying to prove to snow? That we can ride it?' I couldn't take it. So I'm completely over it," the Veronica Mars star said. "And people just see everything and they need to ride it, like waves and sand dunes."
"Did you feel that way before you had a baby?" host Chelsea Handler asked.
"No, I didn't. Maybe that's part of it," Bell said. "Now I'm in too deep! What am I supposed to do?"
