Or, in Neil Patrick Harris' case, it's a record amount of margaritas and then passing out on the sand in Mexico, which actually doesn't sound too bad.
The funny actor gave his Instagram followers a fun play-by-play of his drunken shenanigans throughout the last day of his Mexican getaway. NPH, in his tiny trunks and book in hand, wrote, "Last day of our Mexico adventure. Let's see just how many margaritas I can drink. Cheers!"
Sounds like a good plan. What could go wrong? Well...
In the second photo, Harris is lounging by the pool (still coherent) with his book next to his leg, "Margarita #4: Feeling great. Can't find my book..."
The next update shows NPH absolutely mesmerized at the sight of a margarita being blended. "Margarita #7: Yummy yum yum! Man, what's in these things?!?"
Seven margaritas should be enough. But there's more.
"Margarita #12: I's the life of the party!! Everybodyone is LOVING me!!," he wrote. The photo shows him having a blast while his pals, including hubby David Burtka and their daughter Harper, give him side-eye.
Alas, the effects of the drinks start to take a toll on the star. "Margarita #17: Maaaybeee shud take break I shud maybeee. #ifoundahat." (It was a great hat, though.)
Then, Harris was sprawled out on a cabana bed by the pool. What's impressive? He managed to still hold his glass upright so not to spill any of the precious liquid. Kudos. "Margarita #19: ......hic!......," he wrote.
"Margarita #W: I swinnin laps...," a floating NPH captioned the picture.
Finally, the star ended up face down on the sand by the ocean, as empty margarita glasses surround him, signaling the end of his tequila-filled adventure. "Magachita #3, 4 mebbe? : Bruuuglah dret scruh nuu rezzlooshun! Nigh nigh nowh. #annndblackout," he wrote.
