After getting honored at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Saturday, Bradley Cooper kicked off his big 3-9 with a motorcycle ride with his ladylove.

The American Hustle star and Suki Waterhouse were spotted zooming off on Cooper's bike Sunday, after starting their day with a trip to the gym.

And the thesp wasn't the only one celebrating a birthday.

As it turns out, his 22-year-old girlfriend was born on the exact same day (years later, but still) as her beau.

While the couple's double birthday plans haven't been revealed just yet, Cooper was in great spirits the day before, gushing over his American Hustle and Silver Linings director David O. Russell at the Palm Springs International Film Festival gala.

While surrounded by his costars Jeremy Renner, Amy Adams, Elizabeth Rohm and a few others, Cooper said, "No matter who you are when you walk onto the set, you are the main character in the film for that moment. For all of us actors out there, that is a wonderful feeling. Everyone here can attest to that.”

“That is why everyone comes back to work with [David], because they know that it's going to be something that's going to push them,” he continued. “Another thing that actors always want to do I think is go to a place that's scary and vulnerable and they don't really think that they can pull off. And he's always standing there say, 'Jump. Just jump, I got you.' And that's another blessing that actors dream for."

Speaking of Cooper’s acting roles, the thesp recently dished on his decision to sober up at the age of 29, telling GQ, "I was doing these movies, and I got to meet Sandra Bullock [his costar in 2009's All About Steve] and meet these people and work with them. And I'm sober, and I'm like, 'Oh, I'm actually myself. And I don't have to put on this air to be somebody else, and this person still wants to work with me? Oh, what the f--k is that about?' I was rediscovering myself in this workplace, and it was wonderful."

Cooper has since gone on to take Hollywood by storm, starring in the likes of the Hangover franchise, racking up an Oscar nomination for Silver Linings Playbook, and landing starring roles in Limitless and American Hustle among many other projects.

Happy Birthday, Bradley!
