Fantasia Barrino is kicking off the new year with a rousing game of slam-the-rumors.

Apparenlty the Grammy winner had been Googling herself (never a good idea, as many other celebs would tell her), so she took to Instagram to assure inquiring minds that she's perfectly OK.

"Lol!!! Who keeps this stuff Going?? It's becoming a Lil questionable...lord lord lord," she wrote on Jan. 2 along with a screengrab of various recent headlines about her, including "Fantasia Barrino Suicide Rumors: Antwaun Cook break up hurting singer, Says 'her life is over.'"

That's just bad form (and grammar).

"It's almost been a Year and this is still going on," Fantasia continued. "Lol!! He and I are not together. I'm not going anywhere so stop trying to make me Dead.. Lmao!!! I'm just getting started."

All of which is good to know!

The "I Believe" singer has had her share of hard times, as chronicled in her autobiography, Life Is Not a Fairytale, and the Lifetime biopic of the same name in which she played herself—so it is nice to hear that things are going well for Fantasia.

She also posted an au naturel photo of herself yesterday, the single mother of two looking tired because one of her sons was sick.

"#nomakeup #haireverywhere #lovingme #2014#mommy #bosslady oh and got a sick baby on my hands and my Body trying to shut down MAN!! Guess What?!! Mommy/Boss never STOPS up at 7:30 making the lil guy feel Loved.." she wrote.

Artists may get breaks from touring and recording, but a mom's work is never done.
